Gooday From Down Under.

Hi All,from Australia. I've been viewing the site for ages and decided to join. I ride a 2000 BMW R1100RT with the Lehman Conversion fitted with Kliktronic gear changer and rear brake operated from left handlebar.(Disabled) Ive done 80,000 trouble free kilometres (50,000 miles) since the conversion was done. Previous riding was done on sidecars and I would never go back. I have'nt seen any other BMW /Lehmans on you site, I dont think they made many of these.Geat website guys+girls, ride safe.

Welcome abroad, Ross... I too am disabled but I prefer to say physically challenged, instead. Nice looking ride you have. Here on TT, we love to see other pictures, so don't be shy with your camera, okay? Hope that you acquire many mates during your tenure here, including yours truly. Ride Safe...!

H All, Thanks for the welcomes to the Triketalk forum. Things are fairly different when triking is compared in our countries. Firstly, most trikes manufactured in Australia are based on the VW engine and you see lots of this style of trike on the road. There are a couple of conversion manufactures and importers here but we have to deal with stringent and draconion vehicle registration and licencing requirements.Importing conversion kits are expensive and have to undergo testing to be approved for registration, a frustrating experience. The choice and freedoms you have in converting motorcycles to trikes in the states is amazing, you guys are lucky. Another difference between triking here and in the states is the quality of the roads, but I will elaborate on that another time. Regards, Ross

Lets see if I am close on the right pronunciation Ma roochy dore ???? sorry but it is hard to imagine the correct way to pronounce this??? I'm not trying to a smart a$$ here just want to get it right mate !!! Just to let you know we have places like intercourse Pa.,,,( in this state there are some wicked places or names here in Pennsylvania) !!!

You got that right White Knight, now try this one. The small area where I live is about 3 miles from Maroochydore and is called Diddillibah. There is a small community hall here and small acreage lots. Not much else, but a great place to live and ride.Awesome looking trike you have there.Regards, Ross

Welcome from Long Island, NY, USA OZBMW. I hope when you talk about roads, you mean yours are better. I feel like I am off road riding most of the time.
