j3jim here with my intro post.... Just celebrated the 42cd anniversary of my 21st birthday yesterday (Thanks TT for remembering). I currently straddle a 2007 Honda Shadow 750 Motor Trike purchased from and customized by those great folks Randy and Marge down in Dothan AL. It's currently for sale so that I can upgrade to either a 1300 or 1800 Honda VTX. LOVE Triking!! Been on two wheels since 1964 (first ride '49 Indian Chief). It's my First Trike but definately not my Last. Shoulda got a bigger one to start!!!

I currently reside in Newnan GA and work for World Airways, a DC10,MD11 and B747 operator in the maintenance department. Planning to retire to the Panama City area of the Florida Panhandle.

We start on Three Wheels, No reason we shouldn't end on them!!

Welcome! So glad you found us! And you couldn't have had a better trike builder than Randy and his crew! We look forward to hearing a lot more from you, and hope you make many friends among our forum family!

Welcome to the board, as we all learn sometime we buy our mistakes.... or we learn from them....
With that now U know U would like a larger trike....

Make sure U post ur trike on here for sale (if u have not already) and post some pictures......

Good luck with ur adventures...

welcome aboard. I've heard good things about both the 1300 and 1800 VTX conversions. You might want to visit a fellow TrikeTalk forum member Bazooka who can give you a lot of help on those. Gather lots of information. Ted

Welcome aboard, J3J!

I got my VTX1300 trike from Zook and Marge just a few weeks ago, and it is one mighty fine machine. When I first started trike shopping, I almost got the Motor Trike 750, but after test riding a couple of 1300s, I never looked back. I did end up getting the Champion conversion rather than the Motor Trike, though.

Dilemna has been solved-----went out to get a loaf of bread and wound up with a VTX1300R. Already contacted Marge down in Dothan and settled on the Champion kit. Now if they only sell my Shadow Trike!!! It's the Pearl White and Plum Crazy one in their current line-up.

Hey Jim! Great to have you with us here too. You'll love this wacky bunch. Like family we are...Marge told me you went to get a loaf of bread and came home with a shiny new red VTX-1300...and forgot the bread! hahaaa.

Guys, this fellow is a great guy. Super nice, smart, owns and pilots two aircraft and makes some of the best homemade BBQ sauce you've ever tasted in your life. Hes a real buddy to us.

Hey Jim- Take a look at the TTR-2 Rally meetup at the Dragon's Tail and see if you might make the meeting.

Zook, didn't you know we are in a recession? You need to stop making people happy with your product. It isn't fair to the rest of the world.;)

Welcome j3jim from Troy, Al.

Do you have pictures posted of your 750?

Thanks Zook ---- blush, foot shuffle, aw shucks, at least you didn't tell them HOW I got the second plane!!

As for photo's -- none available as I had too much fun riding to take pic's. If you believe thaat, I've got another one for ya! And as the 750 is currently residing in Dothan, I have no opportunity to take and post some. Besides it's been raining steadily for the last 5 days here in Newnan. Can't even enjoy the new Bike. I will take some of the 1300 prior to conversion for a build album, if I can get the build crew to take in progress photo's. I do live 200+ miles north of Dothan......This is YOUR cue to beg ZOOK on my behalf for those in progress photo's once the kit arrives and the build begins!!!

And Thanks to all for the hearty Welcome.

Gotta Run.....That JOB thing you know. My shift starts soon!!
