I have a new 2017 Goldwing csc trike and want to get a aftermarket seat Russell day long or ultimate seat pros and cons

Can't say, never had a Russell Day Long but I do have a TS Custom seat. Tom Simmons builds a wonderful seat. Period. Are there better seats out there? Couldn't say. Is Tom's seat worth the money? Absolutely! I would call and talk to Tom before making the final decision. Just my $.02

Russell custom makes his saddles to the individual's weight. You send a picture of you siting on the bike. Custom fit does cost and a considerable amount of time is involved. In the case of the Russell it's worth the price and the time.

+1 on Tom Simmons seat, best I have ever had

Just a suggestion here: SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Go to Walmart, or a seat making company, and purchase a 'seat cushion", that fits the size of your Goldwing (or any size seat), just place on top of stock seat, and enjoy the ride w/out the expense..

I did that two seasons ago, (for under $10.00) and have logged in many, many miles without any fatigue ... A $8-10.00 dollars seat cushion, sure is a great way to go... NO vibration, NO sore butts, NO $1000.00 + expenses, the only problem I find would be "why folks are looking at you "smiling" (heck you just saved yourself $1000.00) everytime time you just went 300 miles w/o stopping....( now if only we could figure out how to get better mileage out of our motorcycles")

Sorry motorcycle seat manufactures , I hate to rain on your parade here:
