Goldwing clutch

Has anyone with goldwing conversion had any clutch problems. I ask because i just bought a 2000 wing with 58000 miles. Running at highway speed no problem. In stop and go traffic as heat goes up i will get chatter. Had a '91 wing with 50000 miles and never had a problem. Thought it might be because of extra weight from conversion.

Any thoughts appreciated.

I have already replaced fluid and flushed.

Do you know what type of oil is in the engine? Always use an oil without additives that would cause the clutch to slip.

Welcome to TT. It does sound like inappropriate oil use to me too. I ride and have ridden with many Goldwing Trikes and have not seen this. I use full synthetic Amsoil without any issues. Clutch chatter is not normal. I'd do a complete oil/filter change and see if that doesn't solve your issue. Good luck..... Jim

Thanks for the reply.<br>Have already changed oil and filter, used 10-40. Also replaced hydraulic fluid and flushed system(reccomended in owner manual). If it doesn't get worse i plan on waiting until fall and replace clutch.
