gold filings in oil

yesterday I changed oil in my 15 freewheeler. I found some filings about the size of fingernail clippings (little finger) They were gold in color and I cant tell if they are brass or plastic but they broke easily and a magnet didn't pick them up. The Harley dealer wasn't concerned and said that could be normal as the motor wears in. Does not seem normal to me. There were about six small pieces and one piece that looke like it was part of a thread on a bolt. anyone experience this

A couple scooters ago I found, what I'd call gold, filings in my oil. Found out they were thread locker material they used in the engine assembly. Guess parts of the threads that passed thru the bezel in parts of the motor had thread locker on 'em and it was coming off into the oil.

BUT that being said it was just like gold dust, nothing as big as a fingernail.
