Gas dripping after shut off

Hi,
I to looked at a 1995 Goldwing today. (DFT trike) After shutting of the bike and it sitting for a few minutes, I noticed a 5 inch stain on the concrete. It was gasoline. Owner says this normal for 1500's and comes from the overflow. I'm new to Goldwings and my current two wheeler is fuel injected.
Is his explanation accurate? Or will the carbs need to be rebuilt?

I wouldn't accept that reasoning.
Nothing should be leaking.
When I bought my 99 Valk it had a small amount of gas on the manifold.
By the time I got it home trailered it was a flood almost.
Ended up one of the O-rings in the fuel rail was shot.
A small simple little 1$ o-ring ended up being a $350 dollar set of take off carbs.
Another place it could be leaking from is the petcock.
Older Hondas have a diaphragm in the petcock and they need to be rebuilt from time to time.
If it were me knowing what I now do know about Valkyrie fuel systems the GW is a bit different.
But Id be looking at a different bike.
Small fuel leaks in 1500s can be any where from noting to a major PIA.
If its a stuck float they are no longer easily replaceable.
Also some these older 1500s are prone to hydrolock, gas filling up the manifolds.
Look at some other bikes.
