Welcome from San Antonio, Texas.

Amarillo doesn't have any mountains. Trust me, I was born in Borger, Texas.
What ya mean, no mountains !!! Driving into work this morning a could've swore I saw 2 right in the middle of town or maybe that was I-40 crossing the Santa Fe tracks. AND guess you've missed all those mountains between Canyon and Clovis....most of 'em have a couple cows standing on top of them.

Had to chuckle at the opening title. Was watching a movie several years ago and the actor was on an outside payphone talking to somebody. Behind him were a range of mountains. He said "he was in Amarillo, Texas waiting to catch a bus". Ya know looked all over town and never found those mountains much less a pay phone. LoL!!!

Once told a fellow "that in Amarillo on a clear day you can see the back of your head"......

Welcome aboard TriPod......

Welcome Wally and greetings from Long Island. Mountains or mole hills, still a nice area. Helium, Nitrogen, Cadillac Ranch and whatever that psychedelic version is East of town. May be passing through in a month or so. I'll wave.:qpnmt:

Helium plant closed and headed up north.....no more nitrogen produced, Ranch is still there and psychedelic "float mesa" needs painting. Stanley kinda let things go to pot before his passing. But the MidPoint Cafe (midpoint of Route 66 between Santa Monica and Chicago) is still in Adrian.

Be sure and wave when you pass thru but, please, use all your fingers.
