Freewheeler front wheel bearings failure

Have any of you folks had problems with the front wheel bearings failing? I just had to replace mine with just over 10000 miles on the trike, at least it was a covered repair. Hopefully this was a one time failure as I've never had them fail with so few miles on any Harley I've owned. Thanks.

I've never had a wheel bearing fail, possible because I replaced them whenever replacing tires. They are too cheap from a jobber (not H-D) to worry about. OTOH I'm not all that surprised. The middle of many roads in Florida (elsewhere??) is often rippled even when the portion used by cars (and trike's rear tires) is smooth. Beats the hell out of my wrists and prolly the wheel and steering head bearings too. That's why I'm thinking of a fat tire on the front.

These new sealed, non-serviceable wheel bearings that HD has been using for a while now are hit and miss.

I've had them go bad in less than 10k miles, but mostly their still rolling just fine, even after 50k miles.
