can't find out what kind of fork i have . i think old hd . no front brake & says usa one rubber boots .local hd dealer says they are not in the info bussiness. gonna need seals soon.

Not sure what fork you have but sometimes the seals have numbers on them and can be referenced. Or take it out and measure and a compadable seal can be found..

good luck

If it is an HD fork its from a 70's era sportster but I don't remember them having a leading axel,it looks more japanese, possibly a dirt bike of some kind. Harley brought in some cool enduro bikes for awhile from Italy also.
The seals will have numbers on them and any bearing supply company should be able to crossreference it for you or determine a replacement by size.

Not a HD fork. Kayaba forks, 79 and earlier Kawasaki KX250. You can tell they are Kayaba by the long lead under the axle, and pre 1980 by lacking in disc caliper mount, and dirt bike since the only mount on the lower tubes are for the brake cable which would have originally been on the left side. Don't know if any of this helps you or not. Like others said, pull the seal and have a good shop cross reference it.

A little light weight for your rig, I think. But if it works.....

local hd dealer says they are not in the info business. i would remember that if i ever needed anything from them and for sure not recommend them to any of my friends.

STAN66 i think you got it. looks like 79 kawasaki kx 250 kayaba. i would never have got that . fork looks massive for a 250 . but i don't know dirt bikes. it does have a long travel to it. also the rizers are made into the top triple tree. this is like alot of vw trike builts . somebody had a great idea , gave up . somebody got it & gave up .

the way this one is raked , you have to be on your toes a slow speed or that 19 in wheel will flop on you .

think i will go to a 16 in wheel as i can't change the rake. but at least i know where to start. thanks , some body made the rizer bar adapter from 7/8 to 1 in. had me thinking ?? thanks , you guys are alot of help. skeeter
