Fobs not found

Got a strange one. I was not able to ride the trike for 4 months because of a remote work assignment. Got home and decided it was way past time to ride. Switched the bike on, and nothing but Fob not detected, enter PIN. I figured the fob battery was dead, so got the other fob... same story. Replaced batteries in both fobs, but no joy with either one. Bike had been on battery tender, so no issue there. I used the PIN I had set so that I could start the bike with no problem. I have needed to use the PIN once or twice when fob batteries were dead and I had no spares, but new battery always took care of it. This has me stumped... would rather not have to go to the dealer to take care of this if I can avoid it. Any ideas?

Remove your seat, look @ the antenna for the fob located on the left side above the battery, check to make sure it is unobstructed and plugged in good

While you're at it, give all the wiring a once-over to be sure some critter didn't decide to have a nibble or two on your delicious wiring since you weren't around...

Some times even with a new or a known to be good battery in a Fob, it does not make a good connection

Take the battery out and bend the contact piece up just a tad , put the battery back in and try it

Well, I checked out your first reply about the antenna connections; everything looked secure so I still disconnected and reconnected everything, but no joy. rechecked the batteries in both fobs and they were both indicating good. I noticed that the batteries seemed to rattle around in the fob a bit, so I removed the battery and bent the prongs up a bit. put the battery back in and everything works... then I came in to reply and saw your next suggestion. Right on the head! Thanks!

Good on you, this happens more often than most think
