FOB battery

The other day I found myself in a dilemma, when I turned on the ignition, the only thing that happened was a message on the odometer screen saying " enter code"

But with the display being blank and dark, there was to my knowledge no way to enter the code, apparently the fob battery had gone dead , luckily I had a spare battery tucked away so a few moments later, the bike was started and good to go.

Is there an other way to start the bike if the fob is not working ?

Get the other FOB. :)

I don't know, I've never had that problem - I replace the battery each year

Good luck

When it displays enter pin, you use the turn signal buttons to enter your pin.

If you have never tried this, you should. You should also select your own pin, vise the 1 from the factory/dealer.

If it happened again.....Just Simultaneously hold/press both turn signal buttons...

And then you can enter the code....I always put new batteries in both FOB's every year and also kept a new battery in the trunk.....

Thanks, I googled and found the procedure, my next purchase is an owners manual, sounds like it may be some worthwhile reading in there, lol
