Flush Mount Axle.

Bill is this posted in the correct forum? You posted under Harley TRI-Glide I am nor aware of any flush mount axle for the Tri Glide. I maybe wrong.

Klock Werks and quite a few others.....but no real skills needed to trade out for a flush mount ~ And I do like the Klock Werks unit:

I made one for my 12 Road Glide, they are very straight forward to install.Used my buddies Paul Yaffe axle to copy from.

Klock Werks has a disclaimer on their web site saying that theirs does not fit Tri Glide. I though the front of the tri glide is just an ultra classic?

Interesting.....And sorry I didn't notice the disclaimer.....could it be a weight issue? A larger load during braking? Can't be.....jc

 I don't think it is a strength issue though. Their site says "Klock Werks’ Flush-Mount Front Axles are made from stress-proof steel that is two to three times stronger than stock"

I contacted Klock Werks. They said "The difference in the axles is that the Tri-Glide axle is longer to accommodate a castle nut and cotter pin to prevent the loss of the axle nut. Klock Werks does not have any plans to make an axle for the Tri-Glides at this time. "

Flush axle on trike

The reason they won’t warranty the flush axles on a trike is the side loads while turning. If you think about it the ultras don’t get much side load because you lean the bike in turns but the trikes you turn into the turn and the front wheel and axle sees a high side load. That’s why the large castle nut etc. That being said as an engineer. I might test one anyway.
