Exhaust Pipe really hot around right foot

Went for a longish ride the other day and heat from the exhaust on my right foot was down right nasty. I got a blister on my heal from it. Is anyone else experiencing excessive heat around your right foot coming from the engine/exhaust and is there a "fix"? I thought about adding that cooling fan that goes on the back cylinder. Any thoughts? Thanks

Forget about the fan.....Get a set of DK's floor board extenders....You cant' believe how much that releaves the heat problem...I had them on my 17 Tri-Gilde and they worked...:clapping:

There are several posts on here about the Love Jugs. The floor board extenders are well worth the cost, not just to get your feet and legs away from the heat. The riding position is much more comfortable for me.

Someday when it's not so hot, perhaps we could meet up and trike a little.

Common complaint on HD trikes prior to moving the cat further back

Get a hold of Kevin for some floor borard extenders and ways to cool down your trike;)

Rick! Hope you get this fixed for the better!

Why don’t you come on over to the Kerrville meet and greet the first week of October?

It’s an enjoyable time with good folks. I believe you joined TrikeTalk October before last, right after the meet then. Dang, you missed it 2 years in a row. It was a blast. Hope you can make it.

Yes to the DK floorboard extenders. That 1 inch out makes a lot of difference. I also have a cat-less head pipe and I think that also helps some.
