Exhaust identification?

I am going to get my bike in and see about getting the carbs re-jetted....my question is this......how the heck can I tell what kind of pipes are on the bike. All I can tell you is this...they are straight, seem to be the same size all the way out and the bends on them kind of come to a point instead of being curved.....I am just guessing that they are some type of drag pipe...they are really loud, that I can tell you and they do have baffles in them. I just would like to know so that I might be able to find the jet kit instead of paying a shop's parts markup.....

Any guesses anyone.....? :Shrug: I can try to take a couple pictures tomorrow and post them here.....if that will help.

Good idea to post those pictures and maybe one of us can figure out the brand. Is it a Shadow? What year and model would help too.

I tried to get a couple pics of the exhaust, but just no way to get a really good shot of them and they have heatshields attached that really block seeing the bends really good. And I was mistaken about the bends, they are a curved what looks like to be about a 45 degree bend...it was the heatshields that I was seeing that I thought were the bends...and they do give it a more square appearance....anyway...I have done some looking around on my own and I think they are 2" Cobra Drag Pipes....that is exactly what they look like by looking at the pictures of these pipes on the internet. So hopefully I am correct and when I take the bike in to be re-jetted I'll have some idea and can possibly get the kit on my own without having to pay the shop markup.

I like em, but I agree that the Cobra pipes are really LOUD on the Shadows and VTXs even with the baffles in. At least they can here you coming.
