Hi from Australia. Here's the start of my build . I have a Evo Fatboy that has been molested. I picked up a 2012 tri glide that was pranged in America. I'm hoping to put the 2012 diff in the Evo with a swingarm that I have here. I purchased the swingarm an box for $200 AUD.
I will try to post pics as I go.
Any help or even advice would be appreciated IMG_20250303_095936.jpgIMG_20250406_124327.jpgIMG_20230610_115905.jpg

Wow That is going to be a real project Most trikes are based on the touring frame not the softtail frame. I have not seen any post like that, but I could of missed one.

Interesting project. So do you plan on scrapping the TG frame and shocks and using the softail swingarm and some sort of shock system as the suspension? Is the TG body going on? How will the body be mounted? Or will the TG frame and shocks be used? Building this in my mind isn't quite computing for me.

I am using the modified softail swingarm which isn't a DNA one. I bought it Off a friend who had it on his softail so I know that it will work. He had a DNA diff which he kept. I am using the rear box that came with the swingarm it mounts / slides over the rear struts from the rear. Unfortunately the mounting plates for the diff are bigger than the Harley one's on the new swingarm so I am fabricating some new plates and pin's.
I will take plenty of pics as I go.
Thanks for your interest. 👍

Big project, Is the evo motor stock?
No it isn't when i bought the bike the engine was pulled apart , i put wiseco pistons in, upped the compression ratio , done some chamber work , ported as well , it already had a EV3 cam still in the box, it runs well, so hopefully it will drag it all around, I have a 1995 roadking with a dusting sidecar and it handles the job, so hopefully this will

It will be interesting to see what you end up with for a final gear ratio ?
Yes. I will try to organise different diameter front pulleys if there is anything available. I have a few at my workshop. I was thinking of going chain drive. But I couldn't find a sprocket to suit the triglide rear.
That's going to be a problem I Think.
Trial and error. I will be documenting it here for others to refer back to if needed.

I am looking at reducing the front pulley size from 32 teeth to 29 teeth.
The original triglide has 30 front and 70 rear. With the bigger 103 cube engine.
I will hopefully be using 29 front with a 70 rear. With the 80 cube engine
