Why people ask for advice about something they no nothing about? Then won't take the advice from people that do? Just wonderin. Maybe rhino Bob can bring it up on his next rainy day thoughts.

Some just want someone to second their opinion....My Wife is like that, She'll Ask for my advice on something and then when i give it, Will Go her own way..:Shrug: ...

Went thru life like that with my dad . Why we parted as friends . Got to the point when my reply was , “ Sounds good to me” ......

And sometimes to just see what others are thinking about a given subject. Perfectly acceptable IMO. It's a way to gauge what the thinking is and what is not in some quarters. That's why a President surrounds himself with many advisors from different and divergent backgrounds.

There are some people that my response is (If I was you, that’s exactly what l’d do). But in reality I’m glad I’m not them. And “I” would NEVER do it that way. :xzqxz::wave4:

I am guilty of that... asking people's opinion/experience about something I know little about or wanting ideas from a different perspective.

I like to gather information, assess it, see what jives amongst the opinions/experiences, consider what it is that I need/want VS. the opinions/experiences... then make a decision....right or wrong.... yep... sometimes my decision-making can take a while... unless its urgent. :cxtv:
