Larry I made my reservation and got a E-mail from them I gave them a credit card # and my charges are $59.oo a night for 4 night and $33.63 tax total $269.63 if cash is $59.oo with no tax then that is the way I will go

Ha! Jerry doesn't have enough money to pay for all the beer he can drink.
They always ask for a credit card number with a phone reservation just for confirmation purposes and so they have a place to charge the first night if you don't show up and don't cancel in advance.
$59 + tax is the cash rate; the credit card rate is higher than that, also plus tax. They do charge tax if you pay cash but it is less than the tax on the credit card rate simply because the room rate is less.
Jerry, looks like you may have to scale back your plans. Jr was going to spend the tax savings on your beer.
That's why you may have to sell your trike. Or maybe be a motel maid.
He has to pay for my beer before his room. That way the motel has to worry about their money. I still get my beer.

Missed the Texas gathering as my little bride was having health problems,however we will be in Ark. if at all possible. Hope to see y'all there.
Ray it will be good to see you 2, you'll was missed in Kerrvile . it looks like I will need some help to keep all these people off of me, O.J. , Jerry, Stan. and I am sure there will be more. ( looking forwards to see all )

The wife and I have talked about going to Eureka Springs for some time now( i was there a few years ago) and we thought this rally would be fun. But she reminded me that we are to be in a wedding on May 19,bummer. So hope to make it some time after that .
If you do get to Eureka Springs this summer, let me know. I live a bit south of Joplin, about an hour and a half from Eureka, and here to there is one of my favorite rides. Always like to meet fellow Trike Talk members IRL.
Well heck. Thought we were going to be able to do this but forgot that Granddaughter's graduation from university is happening about the same time! Was reminded by wife. Looks like we will have to catch up at the fall Hill Country run if there is one this year. Bummer!

Yep. She did it in three years! We are very proud of her. There will be a big celebration for sure.

We're finally getting our plans together for our big trip this year. We'll be starting it out with a few days in Eureka Springs.

Been watching this thread for a while and found out my traveling work schedule will allow us to be able to go! Going to talk with the wife tonight and make sure her plans and mine are in the same boat so we can row it there together! Y'all going to show us the ropes since it will be our first trike gathering? Thinking about coming in on Wednesday and leaving sometime over the weekend. Is the gathering dates for rides just going to be for M-F or is anything going on Saturday?

Hey Recycledteen - glad you'll be able to join us for your first Trike Talk gathering. There is no mystery about it, just show up and have a good time. Even if you stay a few days after the official end day (and many do) there is so much good riding around Eureka you will defiantly want to come back for more. I have lived in the area just over 20 years and I'm still finding new routes to ride.

It has been years since I have ridden in the area on my bike and really am looking forward to coming back! All signed up, resv. made at the Regency Inn and the Lord willing, Rhena and I will be there Wednesday mid afternoon!!!:yahoo:
Going to talk to the Misses and see if we can swing this gathering, we've never been to Arkansas and the riding sounds great, should know for sure in a couple of days.

OK, we're in !!!! Made our reservations at the Regency today and put our names on the sign-up sheet, looking forward to riding some new territory.
Have re-booked and pray that Jan's trike will be ready to rock and roll with our Trike Talk friends!

Maybe we can meet for dinner. I am not staying at host,but less than a mile away at The Trails Inn. Rooster is also at a diff motel,but forgot which. He is also very close to host.
We are leaving on Sat about 400 miles to Marion Il. for the nite. Sun about 350 & in E.S. about 2-3 pm.
We are so sad to be missing this..and all of you!
