Good afternoon all
Everyone here may know how to do this already but a few days ago I decided to try to enter my emergency start code. I had to talk to Ironhorse 54 and NJMike to get the first step figured out. As you know once your goldwing is converted to a trike, you do not have a place to put the physical key to open anything to get started. If you haven't tried it, I recommend giving it a shot in a comfortable setting vs on the road and in a panic.

I want to post the steps I used to open my trunk but I'm afraid I will get a lot of blowback if I post how to get in the CSC trunk without a key so I will skip that step for now.

Emergency Start Steps:
So once you get the trunk open, everything else is the same as the two-wheeled gold wing;
  • Hold the start button a few seconds until you hear it beep.
  • Press the button on the faring door the number of times your code calls for and then press the red start button to enter the number.
  • For "0", just hit the start button
  • Once you enter the last number, the electrical system will come on if you did everything right.
  • Go ahead and start your trike.

OTHER NOTES:
  • It's a good idea to keep a spare key fob battery on your trike.
  • I put my key codes in my phone as a contact so I just look up "Dragon" in my case and there is the code along with the notes on what I need to do.
  • along the same lines, review how to use your other emergency equipment like your battery jump box and if there is a special step you need to remember, drop that in the note section as well.

If you have some ideas on what can be added to this list please let me know.

I hope this helps somebody.

James,
I have a 18 Honda Goldwing Tour DCT with the CSC Encore Trike kit.
Was wondering what I would do if things went South.
Can you send a PM with the full instructions, so that I may print them off and store them in a safe place? Since my last stroke, simple instruction have turned into something way worse than difficult, on so many things.
Thanks,
John

I know the OP was talking about Wings - however, wanted to mention that the Harley has a similar system.

The reason I mention this is - in the back of the Harley manual, there is a tear out that allows you to write in your code - and then place that tear out in your wallet.

I have to imagine that the GoldWing has a similar document somewhere.

Good morning
Honda provides the code with the key on a strip of paper as well but I'm prone to loosing little pieces of paper and stuff that stays in my wallet a long time becomes unreadable. With my luck, it will be the last two numbers that get scratched off.
I recommend the phone contact for your code as another option becouse It's easy to look up and you can add notes there as well.
