yes i have seen the story, or rather looked into the history of the easyrider bikes. i am a fan though even if nowdays it comes across as fairly tame and maybe a bit lame. it was a different time, and it defined the role of motorcycles in the rebel culture
(when i say rebel i mean people who generaly dont totally follow societies expectations.
I have a black and white framed print of Hopper and Fonda on their bikes on my lounge wall.
cant really say why i still watch the movie every few years, but i do.
Easy Rider is one of my favorite movies.
According to the NPR article, Fonda is lying about the Capt America bike build.
Unfortunately too many people who could possibly confirm the "negro" builder's story are now gone.
IF its true, I wonder if Fonda will come clean on its real story before his time is up?
