Eagle

I am a new trike owner and new to this forum. This topic may have been addressed in the past, but I could not find anything already posted.
I have a 1998 GW 1500, the blinkers work, but the four-way flashers don't. When I push the button in, it won't stay engaged. If this was addressed before, could someone guide me to the posting. If it wasn't addressed before, does anyone have any suggestions.

Welcome to Trike Talk Eagle. I don't know the GW's, but in some other bikes, I have seen a seperate blinker module used for signals and flashers. That might be case for you.
On another note, just in case you didn't know, the big TT rally is happening in a couple weeks just south of you in Eureka Springs, AR.

Welcome to Trike Talk Eagle.
The switch you refer to is most likely dirty and needs cleaning and lubed.
I use WD-40 (about every 10,000 miles) or a silicone cleaner/lube.Cover any painted areas, remove the 2 bottom screws on the switch housing and spray into the rear area of the switch. You have to get at it on an angle, while pushing the button in and out. With a flashlight you can see the back of the switch I am talking about.
Most GW flasher buttons usually stick in the on position.
Regular cleaning will prevent this.
Hope this helps, not hard to do.

I agree with the WD-40 on the switch. ThumbUp This happens in all kinds of flasher switches. I had on in a car that did the same thing. Just spray down the switch and try working it a few time and it should start working. Welcome to Trike Talk from SE Missouri.:wave4:

WD 40 will work but it does not protect you need the silicon lube for protection......ThumbUpThumbUp....WD IS WATER DISPLACEMENT ONLY
