Dunlop D240 Incidents/Accidents

That's an eye opener for sure. Thanks for posting. I never knew that Goodyear made the Dunflop motorcycle tires.

Thanks for that "eye opener" ,, I guess Dunlap tires will be replaced with B/stones next change over..

Im not siding with any tire manufacturer, just telling what I’ve seen and experienced, most failures are due to over/under inflation and over weight. The mojarity are from dry rot. Its not unusual to see cracked rubber between the tread on a 2 year old tire . Tear me apart, its ok 👌☎️

A couple of decades ago now, Goodyear branded/labeled tires got out of the M/C tire business due to too many lawsuits. I guess they're now getting completely out, according to this news item...

While the manufacturer can potentially be blamed in some mishaps, there are too many things that happen to a motorcycle tire after it's mounted on a rim, to be able to hold any manufacturer liable for things that happen down the road. Unless a sympathetic judge can be found.

Unfortunately for the American worker, expect more, (M/C's and 4 wheeled vehicle), tires to be manufactured "offshore". Thus making lawsuits more difficult for those that choose to lay blame on others, than themselves, when things go south...
