Driving lights--how to turn them on

I have a 98 Goldwing Aspy with a Motor Trike conversion. I cannot find out how to work the driving lights. The headlights and all others work fine, but the driving lights do not come on. I have checked them with the engine running to see if it was somehow connected that way (similar to the headlights).There doesn't seem to be a switch anywhere to work these. Any help would be appreciated.

Yours maybe what are known as cornering lights. Does the appropiate one come on with the turn signal? If not they maybe burned out. If you are good at wiring they make a conversion kit to make them driving lights. Look at any of the big Honda parts people.

My switch is hidden in the left storage pocket, in the very back at the top of the pocket. Maybe this will help.

Thanks Tmigala and Randylic. I'll check these out when I get home this evening. Hadn't thought about the cornering lights possibility. Would rather have them as driving lights, but I know as much about electrical wiring as I do about brain surgery! I'll also look for the switch--hadn't thought about looking for a hidden switch.

My 97 GW had the cornering lights. I bought the conversion kit for them. Really was not that bad to wire it.

Thanks. Mine must be cornering lights. I'll check them out the next time I'm out after dark. Might not be too bad a wiring job for you, but I am not at all confident enough to take on any kind of wiring job (and stealers are just too expensive!).

They will never be driving light. The lens is aimed at the gutter (side of the road.) Even cars coming straight at you can't see them very brightly. YES they do make a complete kit that converts everything to make them TRUE DRIVING light. I added an extra amber bulb to mine and hot wired it to the headlights. Now I have orange lights that turn White when I turn on the signal lights . BTW they were not designed to run 24 7 and bulb life will be short. bulbs are $7.00 each. I have heard you can find them for $3.75

Don't be afraid to convert your lights using the kit, very easy, everything is a direct plug in, really nothing to think about, it takes longer to get the side cowling off than to switch out the lights. I just added them on my wing, it makes a big safety difference.

Unplug the old light, plug in the new one with the included harness, just be sure to order "Driving Lights" for the correct year of you wing and you are good to go.

Find some Biker buddies and ask for help, I have never been turned down by a fellow Biker to help me wrench.
