I have always wanted to experience what a poorly set, never maintained Voyager handled like and I used my Wing as the test so that I can tell you why its important.
The suspension hardware has gotten loose.
The always leaking never holds air rear tire is badly cupped and changes the settings on the Voyager. The leaking never holds air rear shock doesn't help either.
Taking a turn with the rig not being maintained properly is enough to make someone wish they were wearing a 'Depends' when making a turn, as the bike handles like a 'Snake on oil'.
The outcome of this test proves that everything needs to be constantly checked and in good order, anything less makes for a very horrible ride and terrible in turns.
"No Goldwings, Voyagers or people were harmed in this test". Please do not try this at home, remember I'm a trained professional (?)

I won't try that at home haha. Sounds dangerous and not like much fun. I like a nice smooth ride<img src="images/smilies/wink.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Wink" class="inlineimg" />

I posted the results so that anyone who owns a Voyager can get a good idea of what happens when you neglect to take care of the maintenance of the unit. Yes, it could have been dangerous and the fun was no where to be found. Having made the original post I can say there is a new tire in the rear, new shocks too and all the settings are correct. It was more of an 'Info-post' to the members. The lesson to be learned from this is always make sure to do the maintenance on your bike and Voyager.
