Does anyone use Firestone Firehawk Wide Ovals on their trike?

Good morning,
Getting ready to replace my Kumho rears on my '08 Roadsmith. Have been searching to see if anyone had used the Firestone FH WO on their trike. If so, please share your thoughts.

Thanks.

Had them on my car, they were loud and felt rough... didn't wear well either 28K and they were gone!!! I'll stick to my quiet Kumho's that came on my Roadsmith, they're now on my car and much quieter with better traxion!! Really like them.... disperse water well....

I myself would stay away from extra wide tires since the trikes have a tendency to hydroplane with all tires and extra wide would only be worse. There is too little weight on the rear in a trike for these wide car tires.

Appreciate your input.
I did considerable dimensional checking prior to my purchase. The Firestone "wide ovals" actually have 7.5" of thread width while the Kumho's have 8". Will let this site know if I have a problems. Thanks.

... Firestone "wide ovals" ...

this is what I thought of when you mentioned the firestone wide oval, I guess that shows how often I go to tire stores or tire web sites or most likely, my age & stuck in the 'good old days'!:D

I am right there with you stuck in the old days. This is what they look like now.

I can relate to stuck in the old days. I had a "67 Olds 442 with Goodyear wide ovals and only got 8,000 miles on them. When ready to buy new tires they just introduced "radial tires" which Sears, who I worked for had a deal for employees for half price. I bought them and got a smoother ride and over 20,000 miles on those tires.

Hi LES,

Thank you for the response and trip down memory lane. 67 442 was and still is my favorite. No, wait, it is a 67 Chevy ll SS. No, wait, 442, no Chevy ll. Dang, can't decide. Both are. Should I ever win the Lotto, I will become the R. Pratt of Illinois.67 442.jpg67 Chevy ll SS.jpg
