Do U wave

Wave to all of them, trikes, bikes and scooters. Any brand ) A lot do NOT wave back, but that is ok. I have noticed some Hondas and Harleys do NOT wave back it must be about 50-50.

I wave for a couple of reasons.

1st - To tell the motorcycle rider that I have seen them.
2nd - Just to say hello and to have a safe ride.

Those are reasons that I wave, I always like it when a motorcycle rider waves at me because that tells me that they have seen me and I hope they are also telling me Hello and to have a safe ride too.

Everyone! Last weekend I waved at a child in his driveway on his Big Wheel! For the next several miles, I contemplated our like interests. Karma is real.

Wave to any and all folks on 3 or 2 wheels- got my most enthusiastic wave last weekend from a Brother triker (maybe four years old) who was proudly astride his Big Wheel (I was on mine, come to think of it) at the bottom of his long steep driveway by the road, his Mom racing down the hill to him. Even knowing he was in trouble for riding his bike /down the hill/ too fast/ too close to the road, he had a big gap-toothed gin and a wave for a fellow triker just before The Law (mom) caught him. Proud of this guy!

I wave to everyone! I love it when I'm at a stop light and the kids in the back/front seat try to sneak a look at a woman on a trike. I usually give them a big grin and a little way to let them know it's okay to look!

Joan and I wave at everybody. Doesn't matter what their riding. At least their riding. Mostly ride Illinois and Indiana, a lot of friendly people around here.

I wave at other trikers with 3 fingers, bikes - 2 fingers. Haven't come across any unicycles yet, though I have had occasion to "wave" with one finger.

Usually riding too fast to take my hands off the 'bars', (just joking) so always nod. In New South Wales, it seems to be that most younger riders either don't respond or will nod back. Sometimes, i forget I have an open face helmet and utter something to indicate my displeasure at rudeness :).
But at the end of the day the main thing is that I acknowledge other riders and have fun at the same time.

Everyone waves here in AZ. We even get people in cars that wave at us, or give us the thumbs up sign. On a long ride, I sometimes even get a little tired of all the waving. :)

I wave at everyone, Bikes, Trikes, and even People riding bicycles, Especially the ones over 30 years of age, I figure they have a DWI, and need a wave.:wave4:
But i also stop when i see a bike on the side of the road and ask if they need any help,Waves are good but help is As they say in Brooklyn,
''Are More better''ThumbUp

Some times the "BOSS" lets me steer her trike and I wave at all even bicycles. We took the trike out for a get-a-way during our anniversary spent a couple of nights up in the mountains at a hide-a-way. Second night I got some bad chest pains didn't tell the wife until the next morning ( I was thinking that I just over did it) We loaded up and I told her I would steer until we got down the hill. Then I asked her to take over and I would move to the back. I told you this because, now that girl can wave. When I wave I get probably 80 percent wave back. When she waves it's 100 percent. Not only that but people standing along the side walk wave. Makes me proud.

I wave when it's safe, nod when it ain't. But I always try to acknowledge other riders, even if they don't respond.

One thing I noticed, just about everywhere I go, at least in MO, riders (bikes and trikes alike) almost always use what I've come to call "The Wave".

Two fingers and a thumb out straight, palm down and below the bars...

Anybody else see this, or is it just me?

I wave at them all. Even finding myself waving at motorcycle cops. Wave from my car and they can't even see me. Feel just a little foolish then, but habit is habit.
