Wanting to add 5 degree trees to my sidecar rig. Will it require the addition of longer tubes, and how much longer? How much lower will it be in front if I stay with the stock length tubes?

Ron! Welcome to TrikeTalk!

Its the holidays and everybody is skittering about... give them some time... someone will chime in.

Yes and No. When you rake the front end the front tire moves out increasing wheel base and dropping front end. Longer tubes bring it back level. This may or may not be a big deal with your project.

On the 2017 RGU and Twin Class I used a trike front end the appox 6 degree rake and the about 1 3/4 longer trike tubes made the bike level the wheel base center rear axle center front axle increased 4 inches.

Lot the answer depends on your project. Smaller bike smaller sidecar it may not be as big a deal. In some cases the drop can be over come with a larger front tire and or wheel.

Ron welcome aboard. Not sure on a sportster but I would think about an inch +. Some kits come with an extender that screws into the top of the current forks.

Look at the bottom of the home page for the ad for CUT N SHOOT CUSTOMS. That is the forum owners business. Contact him because he also sells rake kits at the best price available. He also will most likely have the exact info for you.

Ride safe
