DNA Separating Drive shaft sleeve from Sprocket housing

I just got a DNA axle for trike build. Making frame from 1 1/8" dom tubing. The mounting brackets on axle are for 1" and need to enlarge to accept the 1 1/8". Any one split those before? There is a set screw. Press fitted in? Easy to split or should i just figure i have to ream them on the axle?
