For those who have installed the DK Cooling Deflector wings did you remove either of the stock deflectors that are on the bike from Harley?

For those who have installed the DK Cooling Deflector wings did you remove either of the stock deflectors that are on the bike from Harley?

Kevin @ DK Customs did some testing removing the LS mid frame factory deflector and concluded that the air moved better thus helping to cool down the engine and push the heat away from the engine

I have a 13 TG. There are not a lot of options for TG's up to year 14. The wings do help a little. I looked high and low for bat wings but there was nothing I could find that I would purchase. Like I say, the DK wings do help a little, if your looking to calm down the head buffeting, it's an improvement.

DK cooling wings

I’ve got them on my 21 but kept my mid frame deflectors as I like the look . Also added DK floorboard spacers and Love Jug mighty mites and 606 air cleaner . Still some heat sometime but bike runs about 230 F oil temp with all this . When I can I’m adding a high volume oil pump cams and tune that should cool things a bit more and make it more fun to ride
