Destination Unknown, my favorite line from the song Twilight Zone by Golden Earring.
It's gonna be a beautiful sunny 84 degree day. My riding partner got called into work today so no ride down south to Grafton River Road. Not sure I really want to go by myself. Sooooo......I am definitely riding it's my day off, I just need to decide where, maybe decide what I want to eat and do a 'lunch run'.

Some of my best rides have been spur of the moment rides. No destination what-so-ever. Turn here turn there, next thing I know I'm 100 miles from where I started and loving it. Just ride kiddo.:)ThumbUp

Just don't step into the Twilight Zone. At least riding you avoid the Madhouse,,,just don't go to far,,,,lol

And have fun,,,

Take a map, some suntan lotion, and just get out and ride. Thats all the fun of it.

ride alone

There are the time a ride alone is just what you needed. That being said, I do enjoy riding with my 2 brothers, building family ties, added eyes for the ride safty, and just being there in the moment .... one can be the lonest number...( three dog night)

I thought that was original from Top Gun movie. It's my favorite song when riding, especially going fast in the twisties. LOL.

I just ride. When it starts to get late and need to return I connect my gps and go towards the house. I keep highways checked off so i don't get on the interstate.

It is the greatest riding song ever. That along with the beginning of All I Need is a Miracle by Mike and the Mechanics.

Even though I rode by myself I had a blast! 80 mile round trip for a hot dog and diet cherry limeade. Came back home for a bit and did a 60 mile round trip for a bottle of wine, Biscoff cookies, cheeseburger and fries from this little dive I haven't been to in years (its tasted fantastic) and then picked up chicken for the doggy. I love that little trunk on the Tramp. :) I have now put just under 500 miles on Thunderstruck. I'm cautious but my confidence is building. I saw only one trike today and it was the unusual Polaris Slingshot.

Sounds like a pretty darn good day to me Jolie, any time you can ride and eat is a + in my book, kudos to ya ThumbUp

Riding, eating and a little alchohol (for after riding of course). What more could you ask for?:pepper:
Wait,,,,,don't answer that. We are PG here, aren't we?

Yes, the wine was nice for after the ride and sitting on the patio with a wind therapy smile. It's hard to believe I've put more miles this past week on Thunderstruck than the lady who owned it for 7 years since he was new averaged (332) per riding season for those 7 years. That's not even knowing what the trike can do or enjoying it. And she ordered a new Goldwing triked. I'm a definite if it's mine I'm using it to the fullest kind of person. I'll be anxious to see how many miles I told for this years riding season.
Its cooler today so I'm just going to put the vinyl decals on, take some pictures and do some much needed laundry and house cleaning. Friday is going to be nice and I work 8-2 so I plan on riding to work for the first time (100 mile round trip) and then a 3 day weekend. Some rain the later part but will be riding a lot the nice times.

I never understood those that buy any vehicle and don't use it. Why get it if you don't drive/ride it? People look at my 47 Chevy truck and ask the mileage. When I tell them almost 100K since I built it in 05, they look at me strange like. Some ask why so many on a hot rod. I just smile and tell them that I built it to drive.
I'm up to almost 1300 since I bought mine with almost 800 of that since the beginning of the month. Going to make this a 4 day weekend so no telling how many miles will be added to that total. I know for sure at least another 200 before the weekend just back and forth to work. We're into our normal 20% daily mode weather-wise. So the cars and trucks will get little love for the next week at least. Have fun on the ride to and from work.
