I'm a fan of Demo Days. I like taking different bikes for a ride and just walking away after the ride with no bugs to clean or any of that kind of stuff. An area dealer had Demo Days this past weekend and I had my heart set on trying out a Free Wheeler just because I was curious to note any differences from my Trike. Sadly the demand for FW and Trike rides exceeded the supply and my turn would not have come up before the end of the day. You had to take training before riding a 3-wheeler and that caused part of the backup. I asked if I had to take the training since I already have a Trike. Answer was yes which I understood because we went there in the cage and for all they knew, I could have been BS-ing. In fact I figured I should keep my mouth shut or they might make me take training to get on a 2-wheeler. I did ride an Electra Glide, a Street Glide and a Wide Glide on the established 11-mile course. It was a fun afternoon but after all was said and done I was very happy that I'm a Trike rider and have no desire to go back to 2 wheels.

Man, I wish they would have them around here!!! I'll bet that was great even though you didn't get the opportunity to ride the FreeWheeler.

One year at Laughlin River Run a buddy talked me into a demo ride on an Excalibur. He raved about how great they were and he was going to sell his Royal Star for one......
The boy was crazy. That balance of that bike sucked, it was noisy as the springs on the front forks rattled. I couldn't wait to get finish the demo so I could get back on my Road Star.
Already know I'll be a Happy Triker!!

I guess I'm fortunate there. I have 3 dealers within 45 minutes of home and 2 of the 3 host Demo Days every May. They are not held the same weekend so I have 2 chances for good weather.

I did a Demo Day at H-D Factory, York PA Open House last year. It was fun. I signed up for the FLRT early and got to ride it. It was fun ... but I like all my creature comforts of the Tri Glide.
