Dead start button

If anyone with a DCT has had a situation starting the bike with the switch on, all lights are on, a strong battery, but the starter is dead, check the gear indicator to make sure is says N, If it says 1, it has failed to switch to neutral when you turned the motor off last. If not in neutral, the motor will not start.

This happened to me on a trip, I thought that I was in big trouble until I noticed that the gear indicator was on 1, no wonder it wouldn’t start. At that point, I simply rocked the bike with the switch on, up popped N.

The only way to make sure this doesn’t happen is to always put it in neutral before shutting the engine off.

Am I the only one that has had this happen?

I had my 2019 six speed stick in reverse and all I had to do was rock it back and forth a couple of times and I heard it when it came loose.
