Just for funsies.....
Did anybody else watch this to the conclusion this week on History Channel?
Any thoughts?
Except that it was a terroristic act, nobody got hurt and $200,000 was stolen, $6,000 of which reappeared in a sandy inland water beach (tattered and mucky).
It was interesting that, through the years, the FBI officially extended the statute of limitations on the case then recently closed it.
Old case that has fascinated some people for eons.

Every time I see a show or read an article I'm drawn to the idea that I knew the supposed D.B. Cooper from my stint in the Army. He look exactly like the composite. We called him Smitty and he was from Oregon. He had the brains and personality to pull something like that off. The guy was always talking about pulling a caper that would set him up for life. He would have been discharged in very early 1970. A few years later he became an exotic international tile importer. About five years ago, maybe longer, he ran his vehicle into a creek and drown. I'll always believe he was D.B. Cooper because he was always talking about some big Caper he planned pulling off when he was discharged. We were a tight group of four in Nam and I'm the only one still living. This is kind of a Ripley's believe it or not. :D

Seems that the drink cup he was using (they said they gave him several drinks) would have yielded some fingerprints. I wonder if it went out with the trash and it never got tested.
Oh well... Guess we'll never know.

I'm wondering why he wasn't reported missing by his family, employment, or friends. If he had been then law enforcement should have easily matched him to the caper. He could have survived simply lived out his life as anyone else. :D

Peanut man, greedy woman, all of the same going backwards. If Americans can't see it, then we be in biiiiiig trouble Lucy :AGGHH:

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig. PC out the door, it is garbage. <img src="images/smilies/coffee1.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Coffee" class="inlineimg" />

I guess your not going for the PC name for Maintenance Holes... AKA- Manhole Covers;; :D

I don't know with all the female splicers and air pressure phone bone employees these days. Manhole Cover remains even more suitable and appropriate than ever before. :D
