looking for a deferent source, maybe a better price. $7.50 ea. for 8 pads adds up.

I agree Jonesy that we have to save money where we can, but given that we can change out our own brake pads, the total cost for the 8 pads to do the back end is just 60 bucks.

I have faith in the quality of the pads that I get from CSC, where I would have a concern about the pads sold by another supplier that may well come from China!

What do you consider a cheaper price - 10 or 20% less - which really doesn't translate into much money on a $7.50 item.

And then there's the question of your personal safety - cheaper pads may not always give you the stopping performance you and your precious cargo (wife, grandchildren, etc.) deserve.

Having said that, IMHO if you can get 'exactly' the same pad for less money, then I would go for it.

I'd be happy the hear how you end up with your search!

8 pads
Mines not a CSC but, last time I checked I had 2 sets=4pads on the rear of my trike.
Search elsewhere shows CSC pads @ $60.
Also another source found is DP brakes part #DP998. This was posted on another forum. I have no idea of its validity.
If your 8pads includes the front 2 sets, they are Honda, not CSC but, I'm pretty sure you know that.
Or if I'm comatose here, please explain the need of 8 pads and thanks

My bad!!! Looked at the CSC manual and now understand the reason for 8 replacement pads for the rear brakes! First time I've seen "separate" sets on the same caliper!!!!

I have scouted around for rear brake pads all over the world only to come back to good old CSC. Yes they are dear and I have to have them shipped to Scotland so very expensive. Surely someone else can make these wee pads at a discount???
It looks like CSC has us as a captive audience.... If you find them elsewhere give me a shout :D:pepper:

I don't like being tied to just having one source for brake pads, there has to be some where else. Someone put up a part ## for EBC pads, but I can't find where to get them, ##'s don't show up when I go to a EBC dealer and try to get them.

Got a ### from someone on a Goldwing site, EBC FA175 appears to be the ones, have to measure what I got to be sure.

Take your pads to a local auto parts store. They are not special as the manufacturer would have you believe. They are AUTO pads. Champion gave me the proprietary BS line. Mine are 76 VW Karmen Gia pads.
