Yesterday I was just getting ready to turn on cruise when I hit a bump and not sure which button or buttons I hit on right controls but my cruise set light started flashing. Cruise light stayed on. Tried turning cruise off & on several times but didn't work. Pulled off side of road, turned off ignition for 10-15 seconds headed on down road engaged cruise and everything was fine. Went for 300 mile ride today and cruise worked perfect. Was it a glitch? Don't know which button I hit with bump but apparently the cruise didn't like it

Sounds like you may have bumped the reverse button and the ECU got confused... You did the correct thing by shutting down and letting things reset. I'm betting you are good to go again.. :xszpv: :xszpv:

You're right on with that assessment, Jerry.

I've done the same thing a couple of times by accident and got the flashing cruise light.

Only way to clear it that I'm aware of is to pull over and shut the bike down for a minute, then crank her back up and go.

BTW, hope this finds you doing well.

What I figured. I did push reverse button right after getting it going down the road but it didn't flash. Oh well all is good for now. Appreciate replies

No ... it was not a glitch. My guess would be that the connector at the back of the c/c actuator is not fully seated. One should hear a click when inserting it. That connector is normally disconnected when replacing an air filter. Unfortunately to check the connection, the shelter needs to be removed.
