Crossply vs RAdial Car tyres on for front

I am building a scratch built v8 trike and I am interested in using a car tyre on the front. Has anyone used a crossply for their front tyre? Just want some feedback as the tyres I can get, the 15" crossply tyre is 2" taller than the Radial. I know a radial is a better constructed tyre than a cross-ply but does it present any adverse handling characteristics on the front?
Here are links to the tyres I am talking about- Radial Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R Tires 6652 - SummitRacing.com

Not sure effect on a V8 trike , but on a standard trike you do not want the flex of the sidewall you get when a radial is used on the front. The bias ply is stiffer and prevents the hop in turns.

If your running bias ply tires front and rear you should be good to go. If you use radials on the rear and the bias on the front the radials will handle better and get better traction, pushing the bias front tire with the V8 power you want to use
