couple of ?

Hi all got a couple of ? first parking brake was not holding had service work done friday and had dealer adjust it holds now but handle is at a angle that hits the floor board is there something i can do to get it to hold and put the handle back up straight 2nd i know this ask before but new here a asking again what kind of slip on muffles are most people running thanks ride on

Which floor board is it hitting? It will hit the passenger board if the board is in the down position. No way around that except to put that board up. I use the Kuryakyn passenger floor boards. The lever does not hit these; but, this seems like an expensive solution to simply putting the stock board up. My boards came off another bike so it was no cost for me. When the handle is up then the parking brake is off. It's designed that way. I keep a velcro strap so that I can wrap it around my front brake lever and throttle grip for extra insurance. I don't trust leaving the bike in first gear alone. I use the SE Fatshotz - works for me.

I would learn how to adjust the parking brake yourself or you will go broke having the dealer service it all the time. The service manual will be one of the better investments you can make. It will pay for itself the first time you personally put a wrench to your trike.

You have to loosen the set screw at the handle for the parking brake and turn the end on the parking brake. The books states 50 pounds of force to adjust the spring tension.

adjusting the parking brake is easy but takes about a hour of time once you done it one time..Its really easy..

Super trapp Stout are my choice of Mufflers..

H-D Fatshotz slip ons for me too. I love the deeeeep mellow sound - not loud and obnoxious like Rhineharts, etc. I finally heard mine fron 100 feet away and they sound fantastic. If you like loud I guess Rhineharts are your best bet.

There's two ways to adjust the brake. The quick easy way that you can do and the hard 1 hour way that you need to remove the wheels to do.

The dealer adjusted mine twice, no charge. My own stupidity left brake on first time for about a block and the second time was on a trip pulled out of gas station and was a mile or so down the highway when I realized it did'nt feel right and stopped took the brake off. The dealer was Ft Washington HD in Ft. Wahasington, Md.
