Just returned from an easy ride and found coolant all over the inside of my right lower and the coolant tank empty. No error codes and no CEL. Has anyone else had coolant system problems on the 19 tri glides yet? Going to the dealer next week, but would like any info others may have on this issue.

I had a similar issue with my 2018. That coolant reservoir is in a tight spot Mine leaked all over the right lower and I found that it was a loose cap. That rubbery neck is difficult to move in or out of the lower and I guess the cap loosened. Even after cleaning it all up it seemed to be hidden in the lower somewhere. i ended up removing the lower and cleaning it all out. All good now.

Harley dealer found the cause of the coolant leak on my 19 triglide today. The clanp that locks on the radiator assembly loosened allowing the whole cap assembly to slide up from the hose causing the leak. They fixed it, and also did the traction control recall. All is now good in Harleyland.

Leo, I’m very close to you, I’m in bluff city, did smith brothers do the work, maybe I’ll see you out on the road, be safe out there

Good that it was a simple fix and all is well.

I'm thinking of moving down that way in a couple of years, Johnston City or thereabouts.

It’s a great area koolbreeze, Johnson city and the whole Tri cities area is a great place, lots of good riding close by, winters are not as bad as what you are used to I bet.

Only issue I have had on our 15 was a "stuck" thermostat while in Ohio from Florida. Dumped coolant everywhere and local shop fixed it in a few days. I read that coolant pumps were failing at 20k and also HD had a new pump replacement kit used on 19/20's that eliminate the thermostat. Bought the kit in Aug. 19 and did the install myself, HD wanted $500.00 and some change. Took 3 days because of local heat index was 112 here in Pensacola, Fl. and my ole 70 year ass was draggin working in my garage. Instructions were spot on and glad I did it myself. We then did a 26 day - 3000mi - 10 state and D.C. trip with no issues at all and none since. Well worth the cost and effort. Oh yes, cost was around $410.00 with my military discount.

Winters here in Southern PA are not bad. I spent 20 years in upstate NY in the Finger Lakes Region, and the damp cold made my bones ache. I have been down in the Eastern TN area riding and the roads and area seem nice. Need to find a 3 bedroom ranch style with a two car garage and a separate 3 car garage on the same property. Will be a good excuse to ride down and go house hunting. LOL

A couple months ago my buddy up in Paducah noticed his had leaked some coolant. His dealer couldn't find the leak and it pressure tested okay. They ended up replacing the water pump and all is well. His was a 18 TG.
