At your age get a new 2018 Goldwing and have it converted.....This way Instead of your kids fighting over the money, They can fight over the Trike.......;)

Cheese 'n' rice, I have to hit my kids up just to upgrade as it is

@#$%^&... Went to the dealer to to make a deal on what I wanted to be my new ride.

I was about 15 min too late. Another couple had already whisked it away.

Sooooo, onward in my quest. This can't be the end... Like I tell my wife, "If we were meant to have it, it would be sitting in our drive".

Kinna reminded me of what my old man would always say, [God rest his soul]...

And if the Dog hadn't stopped to take a pee, He would have caught the Cat..:xzqxz:

Yea, He was quite the Wordsmith....:D

My supervisor ((wife:))) wasn't comfortable on the 1500, so we opted for a '08 GL18P Roadsmith which she likes much better.

I never had a problem with the Road Smith warranty, which, If I recall, is 2 years and a million miles, or some such. My aux pump motor failed, no problem, they took care of it. I'm guessing your post refers to the warranty period.

Champion kits

I was refering to the Champion kits. The Independent kit for the GL1800 is a total screw up. No place to adjust camber, constantly excessive tire wear. It is not really an Independant suspension due to the solid anti roll bar fitted between the two hubs. It only makes it to act as a solid axle and by removing it, it rides very soft but then the shocks is under capable stabilizing the trike. So stay away from IRS for the Goldwing type.
