compasses on trikes or bike

im globally challenged and tried a victory branded compass on my ride . never could get it to work, even away from
metal. anyone use one and what is it and where did you mount it.

My Garmin GPS has a compass. Since it works off satellites it is not affected by metal. I'm sure there are small units in their lineup that would work for you.
