Middle of install on 2016 Tri... Instructions do not mention emergency brake set up. Do I have to remove emerg bracket ? Bolts dont look like they will come out if I dont.

I apologize if you did not receive the correct instructions with your Comfort Lift. They should have had the following line in them.

For 2014 - Up Tri-Glides you will need to remove the two allen fasteners holding the parking brake bracket in order to get to the left side shock mount bracket.

It will also work to do as Bob wrote, loosen them both, remove one and pivot the bracket.

I had the same problem on my freewheeler. two allen head bolts remove the e bake and away you go.. Don't forget the Loctite.

Seems they forgot some installation info for the 16's. But thanx to the guys on here, I got it done.

General Notes section

I received my DK lift kit on March 21, 2016, and installed it about two days after that. My instruction sheet does have the note about the parking brake. However, it is in the General Notes section, which is after the end of the 19 actual install instruction steps. I can see where it would be possible to not read that section before starting the install. However, maybe some copies of older instructions got included in some of the recent sales. It is the fifth note and starts with FOR 2014 TRI-Glides............ I guess they need to change it to 2014-2016 models. You will like the lift. <img src="images/smilies/grin.gif" border="0" alt="" title="big grin" class="inlineimg" />
