Cold

Now picture the windchills at 70 MPH in 20'F or so weather. I rode from LI to Trenton, NJ last week (130 miles one way) for business and got those. It's all about the layers (until you have to pump gas without gloves!).

We had the big snow storm and now below zero temps for a few days.

Fairbanks, Alaska has -30 to -40 degree lows and -10 to -20 degree days right now.

That should make us feel warmer!!!!!!!!!!!:pepper:

Even more interesting today. Suprise snow (not much) covering roads after heavy rains. Ice also. Temp around 19'F. Took trike out on street and it handled pretty much like car.
i.e. drive with caution. Took it to work 27 miles. This also allows me in carpool lane to get around all the cagers in bumper to bumper. Did slide right by entrance to my company. That's what U-turns are for! They are so used to me riding 2-wheels in most weather, only one person asked if I rode today.

Snowing again here today. Started about 4:00 AM and still pounding down without let-up at noon!!! Waiting for the snow plow to come by before I shovel the driveway. The weather man says possibly changing to rain this evening with the slight increase in temperature which will be bad for some of our valley folks when the rain and melt-off will cause flash flooding. When I was a kid I would have LOVED this snow......but at my age I just wish the :censored: would go away!!!

Wooo, hooooo! it finally climbed (barely) out of the 20's for the first time this week. At least my ride home will be warm. If you can call 31'F warm, that is.
