Just finish the install of the 1.5 DK tank lift. Wile I was messing with it, I decided to clear the code, b2285h. Than started the bike and backed it up about 5' & shut it off, recheck for codes & to my suspect it was back. It appears it's triggered at start-up.

The 1/2'' lift in the back of the tank is highly recommended, It made the seat in that area a lot more comfortable. (snug) & loving it...................

Thanks Again DK for another fine product.

b 2285h...................Low Battery Voltage.........

Ya fuzzy, that was my next go to (R), The wife and I just got back from a 175mi ride, 3-restart's, no backing and "NO CODES" I think you have it nailed down. Never looked at the volt gauge when backing. Thank's.

Oh buy the way,

the oil temp never went over 222deg, 85-88 ambient. Pryor to the tank lift same ambient, it ran 230-238.

2019 dtc

my 2019 has been throwing this code since it was new so is kevins. Harley is aware of this and is working on a fix. If you have a diagnostic run on it don't clear the code because it will not show up on the test. Had to bring it back to Harley to print out the trouble codes, still doesn't show up as being cleared.

Yep, and I already tried to trigger the code while using reverse. Could not get it to happen. But it may on yours!

Still have not figured out any pattern, although I am sure there is one.

Its an overly sensitive sensor that reacts to a ''momentarily'' low voltage reading from the battery.......

has anyone tried riving the motor just a little when backing up? that's what I do so as not to pull the battery down so much.

HD made a change (starting with MY17 IIRC) that increases the idle RPMs when the reverse is first selected. I know on my '14 I would always roll the throttle a bit when I was going to use reverse to minimize drain on the battery. Still do it on my '17. Doesn't hurt.

I don’t know why everybody’s worried about the code I’m sure Harley has their top engineers Working on the problem and the fix in the works 🙄

Just received my 2019 Harley touring electrical diagnosis manual, just out of curiosity looking at all the code's.

The b-codes only go as high as b2274:gah: "But still digging":Coffee: It makes sense now why the service manager told me he could not find that code.

Only code I could find on low voltage;

2019, low voltage code b2271, is triggered when it drops below 9volt.

Not worried, just curios..............

"I'M ON A MISSION" lol
