Just finished ordering a new windshield for the bike. 16" height with recurve, light tint, vented and wider from Clearview. Cyber Monday sale with 25% off. My HD windshield cracked at a bolt and is being warranteed. I will just save that windshield and put the new Clearview one on instead. Craig took care of me.

I ordered one too. 21.5" with recurve. Also 2" wider and 2" longer.

I hope to lay the Clearview on top of my 16" HD and take some pictures so others can see the difference. I have to replace my windshield anyway as it cracked and HD is going to warranty it so I thought why not put a better windshield on instead.

How much was this shield? Best price I have found for the HD shield was $394 and change. I'm not willing to pay that much if the shields are substandard.

My windshield will be under $200, but that is just for the windshield not the frame. Since my HD windshield cracked, I am going to put the Clearview on instead of another HD one. It will be same height (16") with recurve, wider and has the vent. The crack was due to someone over tightening one of the bolts. Maybe it was a Friday after drinks day.

Can I still use my windshield bag on the frame with the vented windshield?

BTW, do you hear/see the black freewheeler that turned over Sunday evening leaving Thunder By The Bay?? I was worried it might be one of the folks here, there seems to be a couple of us from the Tampa Bay Area and a few from Sarasota and Port Charlotte area....

I ordered mine first of December, but got an email that the first batch of windshields had quality control issues. I now have an email saying the windscreen should show up on the 20th. Can't wait and will take pictures.

Installed my new Clearview windshield. I ordered the 16" recurve with vent and 3" additional width. Siting in garage waiting for the east coast storm snow to melt. It definitely reaches lower than the OEM 16" and the width looks good. However, the vent is above the crossbar frame so I am not sure I am loving it. It definitely would have looked better below the crossbar and I suggested it to Clearview. If it ever warms back up I will get the Free outside to take some pictures.

Here are some crappy pictures as we slowly melt from last weekends winter storm. Second photo has the old windshield taped to the front to show the difference. You can see it is wider and longer at the bottom. I am still wondering about the vent and made a suggestion that its location be below the horizontal frame support.

Thanks for sharing! I like the windshield. I have to agree with you about the vent. It would look much better below the hrizontal support

Never got an email, but came home to a package from Clearview, I must say their packing is top notch.... Did a quick mock up install this morning. WOW much larger, I need to move my bars back about a 1/4 inch as the shield just touches the brake and clutch cylinders. Overall it is growing on me. If it works will be all that really matters.

Finally got the Free out for a spin with the new Clearview windshield. First observation is a lot less flexing at highway speed than the HD windshield. The vent works well. Less turbulence coming up from the tank at highway speed, but it is still there and above 70mph it still shakes my helmet. I still have my soft lowers on so I need warmer weather to see if they add to the problem. I think I will invest in the JES wind deflectors. The recurve at the top of the windshield definitely works.
