I picked up a VW trike a couple months ago. It had been setting in a barn for several years. Bought it without hearing it run or riding it - dust and all. Now, I'm nearing my "golden years" and remember growing up around the old bugs although I never owned one. But, I set about tinkering on it to find out just what kind of turkey I bought. Well, amazingly, after draining the gas tank and lines and cleaning the carb, the thing sprang to life. I've even rode it down the gravel roads for a few miles to get a feel of it. Looks like the start of a good project! Now, I just need to figure out what year, model it is made from and to learn about older VW stuff.

Sounds like a fun project.I used to restore old cars and always loved a new project . Good luck an welcome to the forum
