This past Friday and Saturday was our first trip for us on the trike. I had checked everything over before the trip;coolant, changed oil/filter, air pressure all tires and 25 pounds of air in new airbags. We did 700 miles over the two days in 95 degree weather. The trike ran like a clock even on cruise control at 75 mph. Today I decided to check everything over. The tire pressures were all the same. The airbags had 28 pounds of air instead of 25 (heat expanding air?). The oil was on the same location on the stick as it was when I changed it. The oil was still clear. I am using OEM oil filter and Rotella T6 synthetic oil. Coolant was also in the same location. All in all I am satisfied the trike is in good condition and this was a pretty good test. I bought it used several months ago with 21,000 miles and is a 2006 one owner GW Motor Trike. The previous owner gave all the records including the original purchase order and work order for the rake job. I guess I'm slowly becoming a triker.

You seem to be progressing very well Bill..... You'll be an "Old Pro" in no time. Glad to hear about you trip and experiences. :D

I had a Topeka Gold '06 that I sold just after I bought my 2015 and converted it with the Roadsmith HTS1800 kit. My '06 had 120K on the odometer so you should have LOTS of SMILES ahead for you and your bride. :xszpv::xszpv:

You have purchased a solid trike. You should be able to ride many many miles worry free with just normal maintenance.
Enjoy

Sounds like your Goldwing will give you many trouble free miles. I've heard of Goldwing's being trouble free for 200,000 miles:Shrug:. The more you ride the more you will take longer trips. Ride safe and have fun!
