As alot of you guys and gals have probly become aware, Charter Arms had fallen WAY below what they used to be. Well, I felt it important to tell you what they did for me last month. I have a .44Spl. Bulldog Pug. It was made in Sheldon Conn.. This CCW weapon was, at one time, a fav for off duty and backup LEO's. There came a time when the guns were full of problems. Jamming cylinders, gritty ejection rods, and screws coming loose. Mine suffered from the sloppy cylinder and jamming after one shot. I E-Mailed the factory, and got a response within minutes. I was asked to provide a model #, and place of manufacture. After they received this info, I was instructed to send the wheelgun in for service, as they deemed the gun possibly dangerous! I did, and 7 days later, got the gun back. It was COMPLETELY re-built!! And it cost me NOTHING!!! Just had to pay to ship it one way, and insure it.

This thing is sweet. Lockup on trigger pull is rock solid. The ejector is smooth now, too. They put a new cylinder, and crane, as well as complete ejector assy. on it. Then they hand fitted everything to work like glass. I got a note from the tech, and he said he fired 10 rounds through it, and it was mint. I CCW with 200 gr. Speer SJHP, and it is dead nuts accurate at 17 yards! Quite nice for a 2.5" barrel! Look out bad guys... daddys got a new bang stick!!! I was assured that the new owners,(the Eckers, longtime friends of the original founder), were breaking thier backs to get the reputation back where it used to be, and beyond. They proved it to me!

I learned that ANY Charter Arms gun, made in Sheldon Conn. was covered with a lifetime warrentee, that FOLLOWS THE GUN!! If you are not the original purchaser, they don't care. They want thier guns perfect no matter what!!! Just a heads up, cause with the outragous prices of good firearms these days, Charter Arms is an affordable alternative, and the quality is back where it belongs!!! Happy Turkey day all! jimsjinx

Jim nice to hear about CA making a come back. However would you recommend their current line of products? Am in the market for a compact 357 or 44 wheel gun as a CCW. Prefer a double action without hammer. Any suggestions? Have a great Thanksgiving with yr loved ones.
