Charlie Pride passed in Dallas, TX today at 86 years old... He was an awesome singer and performer... RIP Charlie.

RIP Charlie. He was not only a great athlete and fantastic singer / performer but most of all he was just a tremendous human being. I had the pleasure of meeting him over 30 years ago when he played in the pro am of the St Jude Memphis Classic golf tournament. One of the great who will be missed.

I always thought he was never given enough, if any, credit to prove race has never been an issue unless you choose it to be, in your life choices. Like the black folks I know personally, they and he were just people. Color was never brought up. He leaves a big hole to fill.
