Like many of you my 2002 GL1800 had switch problems. The emergency flasher and fog light switches would not work. I took them apart and cleaned and lubed them but I could not get them to work. I downloaded Chet Walters ANYTIME FOUR WAYS for FIVE BUCKS! Plus a NEW fog light switch!! For the GL1800 Gold Wing" I bought the new switches and the hazard relay for under $10 bucks. It took about an hour and now they look and work great. Thanks to Chet and the post here that helped me. Best thing is that if they go out in the future, two new switches, pop the old ones out, unplug and replug new ones from Radio Shack for $3.15 each done in 10 minutes.

Glad that worked out for you Dave.

I have done that mod for a few of my friends. Works great and looks like it belongs there.... Did you totally replace the Honda flasher circuit or just the switch. I've done it both ways. Never did the combined system though.

Gold Rush,

I did the switch change with the relay. I did not make them anytime flashers. The key still has to be on but the do look and work great.

Getting ready to do this mod as my emergency flasher switch doesn't work. If I push the button down the lights flash but the button doesn't stay down by itself. I'm going to do both mods as I'm going to be adding fog/running lights which I don't have now. I'm going to wire the emergency flasher so they can be activated anytime. Great Mod, thanks for the write up. On another note if you plan on doing this better start looking for the switches as many Radio Shacks are closing. Some stores have been bought by another vendor and will be remaining open. I called and they have a number of the switches, they're holding 4 for me, two for the job and a couple of spares. Bill
