CB Question 2015 tri glide

(as far as I know) When you have the CB screen up showing your pre-selected channels, just use the toggle switch on the left handlebar- like when you change stations on the radio.

:Agree: OK, so here's the deal... the Infotainment manual doesn't say squat about operation of the CB. I did a bit of experimenting (had to, to find the channel our group uses for ride coms). Hit the Home button (top on left), then with the right joystick select Com and push to select it. Right joystick to the top and left to turn the CB on. Right joystick navigates and a push selects a channel. LEFT joystick browses through available channels, then right joystick to choose and select.

WOW, they could not say that anywhere online or in print?:gah:

I didn't have the CB initially either... threw away the CD after looking it over a few times, then added the CB when our group started using them on rides. Went online to the HD website and got the link to the online manual, which says absolutely 0 about how to operate it. It seems like HD is downplaying the CB starting with the '14 MY, since they quit offering it as standard on the TriGlide. Even the tech that did the install had to think about how it worked. Also, the radio on the '14 and later is substantially different than the older units.
BTW Fuzzy, glad to see you still hang around here!

Yeah Wheelers suggestion (well thought out :) didnt do much! Why is it that someone with 20 posts thinks they are superior. I did the search thing and it didnt reveal much hence my inquiry.

There is a section in Wheelers suggested google sight that is dedicated to the operation of the CB. Its all there

i have to say that I at first wrote that off... when I actually did it, you are right, it's all there.:clapping:

why couldn't they have this pdf on the HD website? Would have saved me some time!

I am sorry. I didn't mean to offend anyone. I should of explained better. I was just trying to help.

Wheeler it is okay. It's hard to show your intent when just putting a thought out there in writing. It's all in the perception of the person reading it. I make that reading mistake all the time. I try to go back and re-read several times trying to pickup on the intent of the message. You were trying to be helpful not critical.

MB1953 it is on HD web site. If you look under the owners tab then under the radio tab you will find the manual in the PDF format. I just happen to come across it.

Bottom line gang the question has been answered.

Well, as they say, open mouth, insert foot! i found the Boombox manual on the HD site http://boombox.harley-davidson.com/premium.html <http: boombox.harley-davidson.com="" premium.html="] and didn't look any further. Obviously Wheeler and others found something more useful than I bothered to look for.ThumbUp

Just another of the reasons I keep coming here; there is always a gold mine of information available, from a lot of great people!</http:>

All is forgiven! TrikeTalk members don't post like some on other forums do!
We don't harbor ill feelings, nor promote lies about other members
The norm here is to post when one actually knows how to help.
That's what makes this the best forum available:clapping:

I thought so but using the left stick isnt working. I just had the unit installed so the problem may be the radio or the switch.

Well, I did find out when I could not get my TG to start in gear with the clutch pulled in and the brake applied, that HD had some issues with the Left Hand Control Module. The dealer replaced it under warranty and it fixed the problem for me for free. It may or may not be the issue, but if your LH joystick isn't working (I had this issue intermittently when the bike got real wet; couldn't turn the volume up or down until it dried out) it would be worth a trip to the dealer IMHO. Warranties are handy!

Turns out it is the high contrast screen I am using. With the high contrast on you can't see the numbers in the center of the screen at all.
