This may have been covered but I did not find it, I am looking for a cargo trailer for extra storage.

So I thought maybe we could get everyone to post what kind of trailer or any other method they use to carry extra cargo. Pros and Cons of the what they have and maybe a pic.

We have a 7 x 14 Wells Cargo (built for us in late 2009) enclosed v-nose trailer (currently parked in the Fort Hood RV Park) that we customized. There's an enclosed potty room with shelves for storage, overhead cupboards and a countertop with two cupboards below. A giant cooler, a microwave, a flat screen tv, a Wii setup, collapsible tables, A/C, heater, inflatable beds, screen door, doorbell, electrified with cable wiring, vinyl flooring (including on ramp), custom curtains and spare tire cover, and more. It's never been used for camping, but we had it for a 'man cave' for a while in the driveway. Big GW 1800 CSC trike fits nicely with a little room to spare all around. Chocks & tiedowns in there, too. Thinking about selling it. If you're interested, we'll dig up some pictures.

On the road, we pull an Escalade Elite, pinstriped to match the trike & our helmets. That particular model is a match to the GW trike. It holds everything we need for an extended trip.

I believe there are pictures of trike w/trailer on my profile and on Scalp Hunter's .

I have one of the Harbor Freight trailers that I replaced the tires with higher speed ones and have replaced most of the nuts and bolts with chrome ones as the others tend to rust. Have only used it 2 times each trip around 250 miles one way. Works for me.

I have an escapade trailer. She is an older one, but it came with the trike. I had to have one to haul all my gear around. Wheel chair, shower chair, walker, and then it's the things that are a must have. The cooler for the beer, the I-pod docking station for all my music, you know the little things that you need when your traveling and in a strange place. Just hate it when you just cant find any good beer! I have towed it for several thousand miles now, and other then the loss of MPG's, I never know that it's back there.

Depending on how far and how long I have three cargo add-ons. I built each of them over the years. The two saddlebag adaptations were built since I've owned my '06. The third one was in 2004 I think....

Check out BUSHTEC Trailers. Pulls easy and uses a Pin type hitch so there is no slapping starting or stopping and they just won't bounce. I'll posted a picture later today.

At what point do you say I have enough stuff? Isn't the point of a vacation to "get away from it all" not take it with you? My wife tends to over pack and the more room see has the more things she brings. I have her down to 2 small bags now and we have gone on over a week rides with out doing laundry.

I think if you're camping with your bike.. sure a trailer is the way to go for all your camping stuff. But in the opening scene in EASY RIDER... you'll remember that Wyatt even tossed his super cool gold watch when he hit the road.

Other than that my soap box time is up....

Real facts:

While using a Colorado trailer ( Champion ) I was impressed in the fact that I hardly knew it was there and that it's the same color as my trike. I love the Idea of the Saddle bag storage bobtail for the GL's

I guess If I had it all to do over again I would go with a storage device that does not have wheels verses one that does.

Jerry, sure hope you're ready for the Rally in a few weeks!! All your cargo carriers look like they're ready to go!!

Thanks Nancy!!

The mind is willing but the body is still a little weak.... Hernia surgery is healing but no marathon rides just yet.. I am missing the best riding of the season!! Sometimes we don't get to choose. This is one of those times.

I pull my street rod trailer pictured here behind one of my street rods. It's a Champion luggage trailer. Pulls really well.

I have pull trailers all over North America and never had a problem. I a starlight made in Neosa Mo. There light and pull very well. I haven't pulled a trailer since I lost my leg and been on a trike. But it should be even better pulling behind a trike.

I just assembled a HF trailer that Im going to use on it maiden voyage this Easter Weekend. I plan on carrying my wheelchair and stool I need to help me since Im a left leg AK amputee
